The players are playing with great desire and intent

This season, Borussia Dortmund have been playing some of the best football they have played in years. And while most of it is down to the tactics and the exceptional performances, the players’ desire and determination has also played a vital part.

Many expected the Bundesliga to be a one horse race once again this season, with Bayern Munich having the title in the bag by Christmas once again. Even the BVB bosses did not expect anything more than a top four finish at the start of the season.

But the Borussia Dortmund players have proven them all wrong with their scintillating start to the campaign. The likes of Marco Reus and Axel Witsel had a lot to prove for different reasons, but both have led the side from the front with exemplary performances. While the younger players have also stepped up and performed at a rate that no one had expected them to.

These players are playing with great energy and are hungry for success. They are driven to knock Bayern off their perch and show that there is more to the Bundesliga than just the Bavarian side. And Lucien Favre has unlocked the formula to get the best out of them.

This motivation and hunger can drive Borussia Dortmund towards great success in the future and help them win the Bundesliga title this season.
