Back up Centre Back

Centre back is not a position Dortmund have an urgent need to fill. But we saw in recent weeks how injuries to Manuel Akanji and Abdou Diallo left us with very little to choose from at the back. We’ve been lucky to see Dan Axel Zagadou develop so quickly put in some fantastic performances, but with Omer Toprak leaving much to be desired with his displays, I feel signing a new back up centre back is necessary.

Borussia Dortmund have spent big money on centre backs in the last eighteen months and it is unlikely that they will sign another defender in January, but these two youngsters could prove to be shrewd buys if the Black and Yellows do decide on bolstering their defense.
