Jadon Sancho the game-changer

Borussia Dortmund fans continued to have reason to gush over young talent Jadon Sancho as he too provided a solid performance in this edition of the Revierderby. The young Englishman scored his fifth goal of the Bundesliga campaign, and that proved to be the winner for Borussia Dortmund.

A quick one-two with substitute Raphaël Guerreiro on the left wing saw Sancho find space in the box. Sancho sent his shot across Ralph Fährmann’s goal into the right hand corner to seal the win for Die Schwarzgelben. It proved to be an emotional goal for Sancho, as he dedicated it to his late grandmother who passed away this past week. Embraced by his teammates in the aftermath of the goal, Sancho too was a hero on the day, not only for the goal but for his relentless fight and spirit during the game, constantly weaving and cutting in from the wings to create dangerous opportunities, wrong footing many Schalke players in the process.

All Dortmund fans are surely proud of Sancho after such a wonderful performance and wish him and his family all the best in these trying times.
