Christian Pulisic – 5/10

The run of poor form continues for Christian Pulisic as he failed to make an impact once again. He had a couple moments where he was able to beat a defender and make his way down the wing but just not enough over 90 minutes. He continues to turn the ball over too much when in possession stalling the play. He is no doubt at his best when he is playing off his teammates and taking on defenders when the game calls for it. Instead he’s getting caught trying to do a bit too much himself at the moment. His offside on Marco Reus’ goal was a huge factor in todays game, if Dortmund go up 1-0 early I just don’t see them losing this one.

Marco Reus – 7/10

Marco Reus has scored against Fortuna Dusseldorf completing his collection of scoring against all sides currently in the Bundesliga! That’s what we all thought, until the goal was ruled offside. Reus was one of the few players that contributed positively to Dortmund’s play today from the starting XI and always looked a threat going forward.

Jacob Bruun Larsen – 5/10

Definitely a game to forget for Bruun Larsen as he struggled all over the field today. It was his turnover that sprung Dusselfdorf on the counter for the first goal. A player relying on for his consistency and fairly safe playmaking and link up play, he just wasn’t able to impact the game positively at all. He just had too many turnovers and mistakes and often left Schmelzer exposed at the back.

Mario Gotze – 6/10

Very quiet up front, Mario Gotze’s most impactful minutes were when Alcacer was brought on and he was moved to the midfield. Playing as a number 8 is definitely Gotze’s best position as his passing and ball control is able to create space for others. Unfortunately, he played the majority of the game up front where he made very little impact. Hopefully Favre took note of his performance in midfield and gives him another chance there following the international break.
