Abdou Diallo

After an impressive campaign for Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund decided to spend 28 million euros on Abdou Diallo. And the Frenchman has settled in seamlessly into the heart of Borussia Dortmund’s defense. Diallo is young, strong, and has the ability to cut the attacks of the rivals and to start attacks for Borussia Dortmund. The former AS Monaco man is just 22 years old and has a bright future ahead of him.

Diallo has quickly become an important part of the team and has developed a great partnership with both Manuel Akanji and Dan Axel Zagadou. Abdou has also proved his versatility, slotting in at left back whenever need be. Centre back is an area in which the Black and Yellow had a lot of problems last season. And Diallo’s arrival until this moment has been a big boost for the squad.

He has a great future ahead of him and if he can continue to perform like he has so far, Diallo can become a mainstay in the Borussia Dortmund line up for years to come. Diallo scored his first and only goal for Dortmund so far in the victory against Frankfurt on September 15.
