Paco Alcácer

Paco Alcácer joined Dortmund in the last days of the summer from Barcelona on an initial season long loan with the option to buy him at the end of the 2018/2019 season. The Spaniard arrived at the club to replace Aubameyang and become the focal point of Borussia Dortmund’s attack.

And the Spaniard has been on fire ever since he stepped on the pitch to make his Borussia Dortmund debut. He scored the third goal in the victory over Franfurkt (3-1), just 21 minutes after coming on to make his bow. Alcacer hasn’t looked back from there and has put in amazing performances with the club, scoring crucial goals in many matches, including a brace in the road victory against Bayer Leverkusen and a hat-trick in the win over Ausburg (4-3), scoring a free kick goal in the last play of the game and not to forget his winning goal against Bayern Munchen (3-2).

Alcácer is currently the joint top scorer in the league with 12 goals in 12 played matches. Ten of those goals have been scored by him after coming on from the bench. The stunning displays showed by Alcácer made Borussia Dortmund exercise their option to buy him for a fee of €21 million. The incredible numbers of Paco Alcácer put the Spanish in the second place of this ranking, and he has been a fundamental part of Borussia Dortmund’s stunning first half of the season.
