Final Thoughts

All in all, I must say that I was very much impressed with the way Borussia Dortmund won this game against Leipzig. It wasn’t a typical Dortmund attacking masterclass, but it showed the team’s ability to adapt to a situation and work as a unit towards collective success.

In a game where in the past Dortmund would have relied on their attack to win them the game by outscoring the opposition, they were able to rely on their (makeshift) defense to close out a game and keep a clean sheet. There is a certain beauty in this type of display, one that exudes an air of determination and grit.

It is a game that has solidified Dortmund’s title credentials, highlighting their strength in depth and overall ability to get points out of very difficult fixtures this season. I have no doubt in my mind that these 3 points will end up being crucial in deciding who lifts the Meisterschale at the end of the season.
