The summer transfer window is still over four months away from opening, but there is no shortage of speculation and transfer rumors involving Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund are having one of their best seasons in recent years, but the club will be looking to bolster their squad in the summer as they aim to become perennial contenders for the Bundesliga title. Signing a replacement for the outgoing Christian Pulisic will be number one on the agenda for the Black and Yellows in the summer, while there have also been talks of signing a new striker.

In the last seven days, Borussia Dortmund have been linked with a number of players by outlets across Europe. Let us take a look at the latest gossip and rumors.

Allan Saint-Maximin

According to BILD (subscription required), OGC Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin is on Borussia Dortmund’s wishlist as they look for a Christian Pulisic replacement. Saint-Maximin was signed by Lucien Favre at Nice before the start of last season and made 40 appearances for the now BVB trainer, scoring five goals and providing nine assists. He has continued to impress this season, and has been heavily linked with a number of big clubs including AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and now Borussia Dortmund.

The former Hannover 96 player is expected to cost upwards of 30 million euros, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.

Wesley Moraes

According to reports in Belgium, Borussia Dortmund were amongst a number of clubs that sent scouts to watch Club Brugge striker Wesley Moraes in his side’s Europa League match against RB Salzburg. The 22 year old is considered to be one of the most highly rated strikers in Europe at the moment and is wanted by a number of clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham, Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, who also had scouts at the Jan-Breydel-Stadion on Thursday.

The scouts who watched the Brazilian will have been left impressed, as Wesley put in a strong display before scoring the winner for Club Brugge. Wesley has netted 13 times in 32 appearances in all competitions so far, including twice in the Champions League.

Wesley is a very different kind of striker compared to Alcacer. He is tall and physically strong, which enables him to win a lot of duels in and around the box. But he also has a great turn of pace, which allows him to get past defenders. He has a great future ahead of him, and dont be surprised if a bigger club snaps him up in the summer.

Jadon Sancho

Now moving on to the bizarre rumor of the weekend, its Jadon Sancho to Manchester United. And apparently the Sun think that Borussia Dortmund would be willing to sell the the wonderkid for 70 million euros in the summer to Manchester United.

Now, its no surprise that Manchester United want to sign Sancho. But Borussia Dortmund have already confirmed multiple times (most recently earlier this week) that they have absolutely no intention of selling the Englishman in the summer and all approaches will be blocked. So Manchester United would be better off looking elsewhere.
