Borussia Dortmund are currently in the middle of a horrible run of games. No team is perfect, but it is hard to not see more wins after one of the best to starts to a season in a long time. There is a feeling of dread, a cloud over the team so to speak. In the end, this will be one of two results. Focus on the Bundesliga or another great Champions League story of a club making a comeback.

Tottenham Hotspur are still not promised Champions League football next year after falling out of the title race in recent weeks. Tottenham have seen standards slipping as losing to Burnley and Chelsea has seen them lose their advantage over the chasing pack for a top four spot. The Champions League is the last place Pochettino can look to bring silverware to White Hart Lane; as the club hasn’t seen any this century.
Team News
Schmelzer and Piszczek are both out for the match against Tottenham. While Christian Pulisic is a doubt.
Opposition Star Man: Son Heung-min
The former Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen winger is one of Tottenham’s most valuable players next to Harry Kane. The South Korean captain scored once against Borussia Dortmund in the last game and will be keen to do so again. His prior experience in Germany will be an asset Pochettino can’t overlook. Son has scored a goal or assist in nearly every Premier League match since November 3rd and will be intent on getting Spurs into the next round.
Last Match: Tottenham Hotspur 3 – 0 Borussia Dortmund
The cracks in Borussia Dortmund’s defense were outrageous in this match. Tottenham deserved their win, but Dortmund handed it to them on a platter. Borussia Dortmund started well, bit any good opportunity for them turned sour as the team was unable to get past Hugo Lloris. As the second half began, despair came down for The Black and Yellows as Son scored the opening goal. From then on, it was all Tottenham as Vertonghen and Llorente sealed an emphatic win in the final ten minutes of the match.
