Alexander Isak achieves Eredivisie record, being tracked by Chelsea

Borussia Dortmund loanee Alexander Isak simply cannot stop scoring at the moment. The 19 year old found the net once again in Willem II’s 2-0 win over Zwolle yesterday, setting a new record in the Dutch Eredivisie. It was his 12th goal in just his 12th appearance for Willem II, making him the first foreign player to achieve that feat in the league’s history (per Gracenote live).

The Swede, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the past, is being watched by Chelsea, reports in England say. According to the Mirror, Chelsea scouts were in attendance to watch Isak take on Ajax last week. While his side lost 4-1, Isak put in a good display and scored his side’s only goal of the game.

Chelsea are currently serving a transfer ban so it remains to be seen if they will be able to make a move for the striker who has been dubbed as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
