It was another dramatic weekend in the Bundesliga as both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich dropped points in the title race.

Borussia Dortmund lost the second Revierderby of the season, falling 4-2 to Schalke in an embarrassing performance. Mario Gotze got on the end of a wonderful Sancho chip to put the hosts up early. Schalke then got a PK through VAR, a play in which Weigl could do nothing about. Shortly after Schalke scored off a corner to go up 2-1 and from there the stupidity began. Both Marco Reus and Marius Wolf got straight red cards, both were well deserved. Daniel Caligiuri and Breel Embolo would score for Schalke. Axel Witsel pulled one back for Dortmund when they were down to 9 men but much too little too late.
