Jadon Sancho’s Wonder Assist, Mario Götze shows his class again
Lets perhaps ease into trying to decipher the madness of this game by starting with a bit of the positives, and start off with the performances of both Mario Götze and Jadon Sancho, who within the first 13 minutes managed to provide a wonder assist for Götze to put Die Scharzgelben in front.
The assist itself managed to chip the entirety of Schalke’s defense, and Götze made a very clever run into the box to head home past Schalke keeper Alexander Nübel. It was a hallmark play that highlighted both Sancho’s creativity and Götze’s instincts and overall improvement throughout the campaign.
