Marco Reus (9/10)

Marco Reus has returned to fitness and to world class status. After years of being plagued by injuries, Reus was able to show his quality over the course of a full season for the first time in what feels like forever. It’s not coincidence that Marco Reus stays healthy for a full season and Dortmund have one of their best seasons in the past 7 years. Adding the fact it was his first full season as captain only re-confirms his importance.

Reus had 17 goals and 11 assists in 27 appearances this year. Reus factored in 28 of Borussia Dortmund’s 81 goals, that’s 34.6% of Dortmund’s total goals over the course of the season. When one player is involved in over a third of the goals you score, you’re looking at a very important player. Reus was the catalyst for Borussia Dortmund this past season and will continue to be moving forward.
