Christian Pulisic (5/10)

Pulisic’s last season at Borussia Dortmund was rather rough as a whole. With several highs and lows throughout the season, although the lows seemed to last longer than the highs. After carrying so much of the burden offensively last season it seemed as though Pulisic never let go of that burden, and felt he had to do it all himself. He was caught in possession frequently and forcing his dribble a bit too much.

He started the season as the first choice on the right wing, but then lost his spot to Jadon Sancho. A slew of injuries and poor form then followed as Pulisic struggled to get a decent run of games up until the very end of the season.

At the end of the season, we saw the best of Pulisic, unfortunately it was only for the final three games. Pulisic was running freely and moving the ball around, which in turn opened up space to get into better positions himself. It worked out well that he was at his best at the end of the season as it made for a much more memorable farewell. But overall, it was a very forgettable season for the American international.
