Goalkeeper: Peter Gulacsi (RB Leipzig)

A number of goalkeepers enjoyed excellent seasons, but none more so than RB Leipzig’s Peter Gulacsi. The 29 year old kept a league high 15 clean sheets and made an impressive 2.9 saves per game. He conceded only 27 goals and played a massive role in his side’s third place finish in the league this season. Leipzig boasted the meanest defense in the Bundesliga, thanks in large part to the Hungarian international.

Gulacsi’s stunning reflexes and brilliant agility meant that even the best of attacks found it hard to score past him.

Other notable mentions include Roman Burki, Yann Sommer and Michael Esser.
