Full Backs: Joshua Kimmich, Marcel Halstenberg

Joshua Kimmich slots in at right back after a brilliant season during which he established himself as one of the best right backs in the world. The German international notched up two goals and 13 assists and was arguably Bayern’s biggest threat going forward, while being solid defensively. Bayern certainly would not have won the title with Kimmich’s marauding runs from right back.

RB Leipzig left back Marcel Halstenberg made his first league start in September after a long injury layoff and quickly became a regular in the team. He was a massive threat going down the left flank, as evidenced by his three goals and six assists. Halstenberg was also excellent defensively, and completed 2.4 tackles per game and 1.9 clearances per game.

Other notable mentions include Lukasz Piszczek, Danny Da Costa and Nico Schulz.
