Attacking Midfield: Kai Havertz

Joining the two seasoned pros in midfield is Bayer Leverkusen prodigy Kai Havertz. The teenage sensation enjoyed a stunning breakthrough campaign and quickly became one of the biggest success stories in the league. The 19 year old notched up 17 goals and five assists, showing his incredible creativity, his precise finishing and combative presence.

His intelligence, hard working nature and versatility make him a constant threat for opposition defenses. And Havertz’ success certainly has not gone unnoticed, as he was called up to the German squad by Joachim Low earlier this season.

Leverkusen have developed some of the finest midfielders in the world over the years, including Michael Ballack, Arturo Vidal and Toni Kroos. And if Havertz can continue his rise, he will undoubtedly join that list in the coming years.

Other notable mentions include Julian Brandt, Mario Gotze, Max Kruse and Davy Klassen.
