Borussia Dortmund may have missed out on winning the league title, but it was certainly a season to remember. Before looking ahead to next season, we hand down awards to the best of the best from the BVB squad.

A lot can be said of this campaign. Lucien Favre’s first season in charge was a crazy roller coaster ride with dramatic ups and downs. Then again, so are all other seasons for this football club. A proper Borussia Dortmund season is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat at all times. Tears are shed whether they are of joy, disappointment, excitement, frustration… or a balanced combination of those four. It is safe to say this season had everything a fan experiences throughout an entire lifetime of football.

The protagonists to any football campaign are the players. Of course the manager and the executives play an important role but its up to the players whether the team wins matches and obtain silverware or not. All responsibility of the execution of the game plan falls on the players’ shoulders.

Throughout the season we witnessed incredible individual performances and quite a few surprises from some of our players as well as a few let-downs. Without further ado I present to you our 2018/19 Borussia Dortmund Player Awards!
