After coming ever so close to winning the title, Borussia Dortmund are determined to take the fight to Bayern Munich once again next season. Is there a better sporting director in world football at the moment than Michael Zorc?

The Borussia Dortmund legend showed his brilliant transfer acumen once again by selling Christian Pulisic (with an expiring contract) for 64 million euros in January and replacing him with two established players in Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard, as well as signing Nico Schulz for just 77 million euros.

Signing two German internationals and one Belgian international is shrewd and fantastic business for the club and reinforces the team in areas that desperately needed some quality. Borussia Dortmund get two players who are close to reaching their prime, and one who has the potential to be the long term heir to Marco Reus.

Zorc has proven time and time again why he is one of the smartest people in Europe when it comes to transfer dealings, and he has put Borussia Dortmund in a great position in their bid to fight Bayern for the league title next season.
