Goalkeeper: Roman Bürki

There were doubts surrounding Bürki’s ability going into last season, but he answered his critics by proving to be one of Borussia Dortmund’s most important players in the campaign. The Swiss shot stopper enjoyed an incredible turnaround and single-handedly saved his side on numerous occasions.

While the defenders in front of him faltered quite a bit, Bürki consistently put in strong performances and showed confidence and calmness which was previously missing.

Bürki is now the undisputed first choice goalkeeper at Borussia Dortmund, and he will be hoping to pick up right where he left off when the new season begins in August.
