Borussia Dortmund play six matches across three competitions during what promises to be a busy October.

With only one win in their last five matches, Borussia Dortmund are going through a bit of a rough spell at the moment. Lucien Favre’s men are only three points behind league leaders Bayern Munich, but their sloppy defence and misfiring attack has come into the spotlight in recent weeks.

The Black and Yellows will play a total of six matches across three competitions in October, so their squad depth will definitely be tested. And by the end of the month, we will certainly have a clearer picture of where Borussia Dortmund stand in regards to the Bundesliga title race and their Champions League group.

So let us take a look at what lies ahead for the Black and Yellows in what promises to be a busy October.

October 02: Away to Slavia Praha

Borussia Dortmund begin the month with a tricky away trip to the Czech Republic to take on Slavia Praha in the Champions League group stage. Slavia Praha may well be the minnows of the group, but their draw against Inter Milan at the San Siro on matchday 1 showed that they are more than capable of pulling off an upset.

Borussia Dortmund’s poor form means that confidence isn’t high going into the tie. But in the context of the group, this represents a must win game for Lucien Favre’s side.

Slavia Praha won the Czech First League last season, and currently hold a three point lead at the top of the standings. They have yet to taste defeat in any competition this season, and are on a high going into the game.
