Midfield: Axel Witsel, Marcelo Brozovic and Stefano Sensi

Axel Witsel has been one of Borussia Dortmund’s standout performers this season. The Belgian international has not only done a great job of marshaling the defense, but has also contributed greatly to the team’s attacking play. He has two goals and three assists to his name this season, once again proving just how important he is to Borussia Dortmund.

Marcelo Brozovic has shone playing in a deeper role for Inter so far this season. The Croatian international has an exceptional passing range, isn’t afraid of making tackles and is also strong in transitions. He makes Inter tick by dictating the game from midfield, and has developed quite a partnership with Stefano Sensi this season.

Like Witsel, Stefano Sensi is also enjoying a stunning start to the campaign. The Italian international was expected to be a rotation option when he arrived from Sassuolo, but has been a revelation in Inter’s midfield. He has been Inter’s biggest creative outlets thus far, and is capable of producing something special going forward, while being solid defensively.
