Borussia Dortmund desperately need a new striker. Here we take a look at five players they should consider signing in January.

Paco Alcacer is currently Borussia Dortmund’s lone natural striker. In his absence, Mario Götze, Julian Brandt, Marco Reus and Thorgan Hazard have all been used in the number nine role, but have failed to have the desired impact.

The goals have dried up for the Black and Yellows in Alcacer’s absence as a result, making it imperative that a new striker be signed in January.

Its never easy to buy in the winter transfer window due to the high fees and lack of available players. But Borussia Dortmund must spend on a striker if they are to have a better second half of the season. So here we take a look at five strikers the BVB bosses should consider signing in the winter transfer window.

Note: Borussia Dortmund aren’t expected to have 20-25 million euros to spend on a striker, so strikers who are likely to fetch a higher fee have not been considered.
