Dortmund hammer Bosz’ Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund came into this game on the back of a damaging defeat to Union Berlin. So Bayer Leverkusen were firm favourites after their impressive start to the season. But Lucien Favre’s side showed their title credentials with an impressive 4-0 win over former boss Peter Bosz.

Paco Alcacer opened the scoring after finding himself on the end of a delightful cross by Achraf Hakimi. The rest of the first half was a rather quiet affair, but the Black and Yellows really stepped it up in the second half.

Dortmund doubled their lead in the 50th minute when Marco Reus found the bottom corner following Jadon Sancho’s low cross. A devastating counter attack made it 3-0 when Raphael Guerreiro turned the ball into an empty net. Another counter attack sealed the emphatic win, as Jacob Bruun Larsen played in Marco Reus, leaving the Dortmund captain with the simplest of finishes to make it 4-0
