Loser: Paco Alcacer

Paco Alcacer started the season with goals in each of his first six games. But then he suffered an achilles injury, and things haven’t been the same ever since. Alcacer hasn’t started a game or scored a goal since September. And his situation is set to get worse following the arrival of Erling Haaland.

After failing to unseat Luis Suarez at Barcelona, Alcacer arrived at Dortmund to become the first choice striker. But now he finds himself in a similar situation with the Black and Yellows. Lucien Favre doesn’t seem to trust him enough due to his lack of creativity, mobility and aerial threat. And the signing of Haaland means that he will be forced to continue to warm the bench for the foreseeable future.

There are already rumours claiming that the Spaniard wants to leave Borussia Dortmund. So don’t be surprised if he ends up departing either in January, or in the summer.
