Borussia Dortmund aren’t planning on making any more signings this month, but one out of favour player could be allowed to leave.

The transfer window has only just opened, but Borussia Dortmund have already been very busy in the market. The Black and Yellows announced the signing of highly-rated striker Erling Haaland after paying his release clause of 20 million euros last week, before selling midfielder Julian Weigl to Portuguese side SL Benfica for the same fee.

But it looks like the bulk of Dortmund’s transfer business has already been done. According to Kicker, the BVB bosses aren’t planning on making any other signings this month.

While Dortmund aren’t looking to sign any more players, Kicker say that Paco Alcacer will be allowed to leave this month if an acceptable offer arrives. The former Barcelona man has only been used off the bench since his return from an achilles injury. And following the arrival of Erling Haaland, his playing time will reduce even further.

Marca reported last week that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Alcacer, but Borussia Dortmund will only sell if they receive a worthwhile bid for the 26 year old. According to SportBILD, Dortmund are willing to part with Alcacer for a fee of 40 million euros.

Another player who is looking to leave Borussia Dortmund is Marcel Schmelzer. The veteran left-back told Kicker that he was set to join a club abroad in the summer, but Der BVB refused to let him go. Schmelzer now says that if his situation does not change before the end of the season, he would like to “go abroad and do something exotic.”
