Gio Reyna

Reyna is another special talent who will travel to Marbella with the first-team. The American wonderkid has been making the waves for the Borussia Dortmund U-19s. He already has eight goals and eight assists to his name in 16 appearances in all competitions so far.

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and winger, Reyna is rated very highly by everyone at the club. He is a great dribbler, a clever passer a strong finisher, and has the instincts and physicality to succeed in the Bundesliga.

The 17 year old made the bench in the win against Fortuna Düsseldorf last month. And if he can impress in Marbella, first team minutes might be on the cards for him.

Borussia Dortmund have a loaded attack. But when you look at the bench, the only options are Jacob Bruun Larsen, Paco Alcacer and Mario Götze. Alcacer wants to leave, and Götze’s future is still uncertain, while Bruun Larsen simply isn’t good enough.

The Black and Yellows are lacking a player who can come off the bench and make an impact. And if Reyna does well in Marbella, he could be given the chance to make the bench more often in the second half of the season.
