Loan: Morey

Mateu Morey

Mateu Morey came into summer training camp with very little expectation and thoroughly impressed. I think a lot of us saw him as a potential first team rotation player who could fill in for Hakimi from time to time before he dislocated his shoulder. Ever since that injury he has been a complete non-factor for Favre making zero appearances.

Personally I still think he should be given a chance with how well he played in pre-season but that seems out of the question for Favre, at least for the moment. With that being the case a loan is definitely the right call. If he isn’t going to play with Dortmund he needs to be playing somewhere else.

That way, he can be ready to play a bigger role when both Hakimi and Piszczek depart next summer.
