Mahmoud Dahoud

Dahoud has unfortunately been a massive disappointment since joining Borussia Dortmund. Brought in as the long term replacement to Ilkay Gundogan, he has not lived up to those expectations. He hasn’t been bad when he has played, but Dahoud has just not made the impact that was expected of him.

A lot of Dahoud not living up to expectations is down to the lack of opportunities he has been given during him time at BVB. He hasn’t been given a real extended run in the starting XI, mainly filling in here and there unable to cement his spot. Although Dortmund don’t have a lot of box to box central midfield options, if anything happens to Brandt, selling Dahoud would open the door for Gotze getting a chance in what is potentially his best position.

Jacob Bruun Larsen

Jacob Bruun Larsen has been a non-factor this season and that will likely continue to be the case. Not a very dynamic winger, Bruun Larsen just doesn’t quite have the upside to make it in the Dortmund starting XI or even as an impact sub.

His main strengths off the bench are his defensive qualities which are useful in certain situations but they would hardly be missed if he was sold. He isn’t someone who can come off the bench and score an important goal or assist.

The biggest factor in selling Bruun Larsen would be for the player, he could definitely be an impact player on the majority of Bundesliga squads outside of the top teams.
