Raphael Guerreiro, Gio Reyna score as Borussia Dortmund dispatch Feyenoord

Goals from Raphael Guerreiro (x2), Gio Reyna and Chris Führich gave Borussia Dortmund a comfortable 4-2 win over Feyenoord in the first of their two friendlies today.
With the Bundesliga set to return in less than a week, Lucien Favre was boosted by the returning Marco Reus. Jadon Sancho, Mats Hummels, Axel Witsel and Achraf Hakimi also started in what was a very strong Borussia Dortmund line-up.
But it was Raphael Guerreiro who gave Borussia Dortmund the lead in just the first minute. Mahmoud Dahoud found the Portuguese international with a lovely long ball, and he beat his defender, before coolly slotting home past the goalkeeper.
Feyenoord equalised in the 22nd minute when Roman Bürki spilled a shot into the path of Nicolai Jorgensen, leaving him with a simple tap-in.
Borussia Dortmund regained their lead on the stroke of half time, with Gio Reyna showing great composure to steer a low finish past Vermeer after being found by Dahoud’s low cross. Raphael Guerreiro doubled his tally in the second half, once again showing excellent skill and confidence in front of goal to make it 3-1.
Substitute Chris Führich sealed the victory with a superb finish from the edge of the box after cutting inside and beating two defenders on his way. Luciano Narsingh pulled one back for the Dutch side with the last kick of the game, but Dortmund ran out 4-2 winners.
Lucien Favre will have plenty of positives to take from the game. Borussia Dortmund dominated the game and created a number of good chances. Mahmoud Dahoud looked to be in inspired form in the first half, while Gio Reyna showed glimpses of his exceptional talent. As did Raphael Guerreiro, who scored two of Dortmund’s four goals.
Borussia Dortmund return to action later today with the players not involved in this game set to take on Mainz 05.
