Erling Haaland could be in line for his Borussia Dortmund debut, as they begin the second half of the season with a trip to Augsburg.

Augsburg are enjoying a stunning resurgence under Martin Schmidt. Even though they lost to RB Leipzig on the final weekend of the hinrunde, Augsburg go into the game against Borussia Dortmund with five wins in their last seven games.

They were deemed relegation favourites after their 5-1 defeat to the Black and Yellows in August, but now find themselves in tenth place, eight points clear of the drop zone. Augsburg beat Borussia Dortmund in this fixture last season, and will be aiming to pull off another shock result this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund seemed to have found the winning formula following their formation change to a back three in December. But following their draw against RB Leipzig and defeat to Hoffenheim, they find themselves in fourth place, seven points behind the league leaders.

Lucien Favre will know that his team must make a strong start to the Rückrunde if they are to have any chance of getting back in the title race. And anything other than three points at the WWK Arena would be unacceptable.
