Midfield: Achraf Hakimi, Axel Witsel, Julian Brandt, Raphael Guerreiro

Axel Witsel has recovered from his facial injury that kept him out of the last couple games before the break. He will rejoin Julian Brandt in the middle of the park for Borussia Dortmund. The Belgian’s recovery is a big boost for Lucien Favre’s side, as he was really missed in the final two games of the hinrunde.

After the sale of Julian Weigl, the fitness of Axel Witsel is underlined even more with no real back up for the position. Julian Brandt has been sensational ever since switching into a more central position, and there is no reason for him not to continue playing in the number eight role.

Achraf Hakimi and Raphael Guerreiro will line up as the two wing-backs or full-backs, depending on the formation Favre wishes to go with.
