Achraf Hakimi (6/10)

Hakimi’s pace and dribbling caused a lot of problems to the Köln defenders down the right wing. He got himself into some really good positions, but failed to make the most of it on the majority of occasions. The final ball was often lacking despite his threatening runs.

Axel Witsel (7/10)

Witsel looked very much in control tonight, and always searched for the positive passing option instead of going for the passive approach. He looked confident as ever on the ball, and played with real conviction, not giving Köln even an inch.

Julian Brandt (6.5/10)

Brandt was quieter than usual tonight, but still put in a decent shift. He played some impressive forward passes, while also helping out defensively.

Raphael Guerreiro (8/10)

Guerreiro gave Borussia Dortmund the perfect start with his goal in the opening minute. It was a well taken finish by the Portuguese international. He was once again excellent defensively, while also threatening with his forward runs.
