Players to Watch
Erling Haaland has made a dream start to life at the Westfalenstadion, scoring seven goals in his first three games. He will now be aiming to translate his league form into the Pokal, and lead Borussia Dortmund to a spot in the quarter finals.
Jadon Sancho seems to be simply unstoppable at the moment. He has been scoring and assisting goals for fun, and making it seem impossible for defenders to deal with him. Unless Lucien Favre decides to give him a rest for Tuesday’s game, expect Sancho to continue his incredible run.
While Haaland and Sancho have been making the headlines, Julian Brandt has quietly been running the show from midfield. Werder Bremen will have to keep an eye on him at all times if they are to stand any chance of getting a result.
It has been a difficult season for Werder Bremen so far, but they still have players who are capable of causing problems. Milot Rashica has seven Bundesliga goals this season, including one against Dortmund. He could hurt the Dortmund defence with his pace and trickery. New signing Davie Selke will also be looking to make his mark in front of his new supporters.
