Manuel Akanji (4.5/10)

Akanji did not make any mistakes that directly contributed to any of the goals, but he did not look comfortable at all tonight. He was too slow to react to Hitz’ save after Rashica’s shot, allowing Selke space and time to score. He also looked nervous and sloppy in the first half, and was easily beaten by Rashica on a number of occasions.

Mats Hummels (5/10)

Hummels nearly scored early on with a fantastic overhead kick, but his slip almost allowed Selke to make it 3-0 towards the end of the first half. His lack of pace allowed Rashica to shoot and score Bremen’s third in the second half. But he also made some important tackles to prevent Bremen from causing further damage.

Dan Axel Zagadou (5/10)

Returning to the starting XI, Zagadou did not look as confident and solid as he did before the winter break. He played some impressive long balls, but often struggled to cope with Rashica and Selke.
