Jadon Sancho (5/10)

Sancho had an off night, especially by his high standards. The Englishman did cause a few problems to the Bremen defenders with his pace and skill, but lacked the end product more often than not. He had an excellent chance in the second half, but his poor first touch let him down.

Thorgan Hazard (4.5/10)

Hazard made his return to the starting XI, but was virtually a non-factor in attack before being substituted at half time. He also lost the ball leading to a dangerous Selke chance late in the first half.

Marco Reus (4.5/10)

After scoring in his last two games, Reus simply wasn’t good enough tonight. His clearance from a corner unfortunately fell at Bittencourt’s feet allowing Bremen to double their lead in the first half. He then went on to miss a couple of excellent chances to pull his side back in the game. Not much worked out for the Borussia Dortmund captain tonight, and he was replaced by Emre Can late on.
