Midfield: Achraf Hakimi, Julian Brandt, Axel Witsel, Nico Schulz

With the injury to Guerreiro, Schulz should be an easy option for the left-wing in his place. Although he hasn’t had the impact he was expected to have before the season, Guerreiro’s injury could give him a massive chance to get into a good run of form. Achraf Hakimi will patrol the other wing in his usual spot looking to hit Bremen on the counter with his pace.

Axel Witsel will be in front of the back line to start this one, Can was brought in as another central midfield option but it’s much to early to have him starting. Witsel has been exceptional ever since joining Dortmund and we can continue to expect more of the same from him.

Julian Brandt has been one of if not the biggest reasons for Dortmund’s recent success. His switch to central midfield has unlocked so much in this squad. He doesn’t have the same direct goal impacts that a Sancho or Haaland sees but he is more often than not the reason they find themselves in those positions.
