Borussia Dortmund were haunted by their defensive woes once again, as Bayer Leverkusen came from behind twice to earn a 4-3 win.

Both teams created plenty of chances in what was a topsy-turvy game of football. Bayer Leverkusen took the lead through Kevin Volland, before Mats Hummels headed home Borussia Dortmund’s equaliser.

Emre Can turned the tide with a stunning strike from 30 yards out to make it 2-1, only for Volland to equalise for Leverkusen heading into the break.

Jadon Sancho had a goal ruled out by VAR in the second half, before Raphael Guerreiro made it 3-2 for Borussia Dortmund. But Leon Bailey and Lars Bender scored within a minute of each other to turn the game around and give Bayer Leverkusen a priceless victory in the race for top four.

Here are the player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from the game.

Roman Bürki (5.5/10)

Bürki probably could have done better with Leverkusen’s second goal, but with so much traffic in front of him, he simply did not have enough time to react. Faultless for the other three goals, but he will be fuming at those in front of him, and not for the first time this season.
