Achraf Hakimi (8/10)

Hakimi has been criticised for his decision making in recent weeks, but he did a much better job tonight. He made some excellent forward runs, and looked dangerous every time he took on Eintracht defenders. His pace and skill made him a nightmare for the Eagles’ defence, and he got two assists for his hard work.

Axel Witsel (7/10)

A commanding display by Axel Witsel, who controlled the game from the middle of the park. With Emre Can helping out defensively, Witsel was able to venture forward more often. And he found his teammates in space on a number of occasions, including when he assisted Sancho’s goal.

Emre Can (8/10)

This is why Borussia Dortmund signed Emre Can. The German international was outstanding tonight. He made some very important tackles and interceptions, and really helped out the back three. Without him in the team, Borussia Dortmund would not have gotten the clean sheet tonight. Hopefully his substitution was just a precaution.

Raphael Guerreiro (8.5/10)

As always, Haaland and Sancho stole the headlines, but Raphael Guerreiro put in an exceptional performance. The Portuguese international completed all but three of his passes, made eight recoveries and four interceptions. He was also a big threat going forward, and sealed the win with a well taken goal from the edge of the box.
