The Champions League is back on Tuesday, as Borussia Dortmund and Paris St. Germain lock horns in the first leg of their round of 16 tie at the Westfalenstadion.

Borussia Dortmund prepared for their mouth-watering clash against PSG with a dominant 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday. The win helped ease some of the pressure on Lucien Favre and his side after two straight defeats.

The thrashing saw them become only the third team in Bundesliga history to score 63 goals at this stage of the season. They will be aiming to keep the goals flowing on Tuesday, as they look to take a cushion into next month’s second leg in Paris.

Paris St. Germain’s run of nine wins in a row was halted on Saturday, after they were held to a 4-4 draw by 19th placed Amiens. The relegation threatened side took a shock three goal lead after just 40 minutes, before PSG rallied back to make it 4-3. But Amiens struck back in stoppage time to take a point off the French giants, who were resting a number of key players.

The Parisians have scored a total of 21 goals across their last five games. And they will certainly cause a lot of problems to Dortmund’s oft-sloppy defence. Thomas Tuchel will be determined to get the better of his former employers, as he returns to the Westfalenstadion for the first time since his 2017 sacking.
