Thorgan Hazard (6/10)

Hazard helped out defensively and worked hard for the team, but wasn’t able to make much of an impact going forward. He was replaced by Gio Reyna in the second half.

Jadon Sancho (7/10)

Sancho was dangerous in the first half, and was at the centre of everything good Borussia Dortmund did. He was unlucky not to get a goal or an assist for his efforts in the first 45. He started to tire as the game went on, and wasn’t able to have as much of an impact in the second half. Marcel Schmelzer came on for him towards the end.

Erling Haaland (9/10)

Haaland was full of energy and was always making forward runs, even if things weren’t going his way in the first half. He continued to show great commitment after the break. And he was rewarded for that hard work when he nodded Guerreiro’s blocked shot into the net. Haaland then restored Borussia Dortmund’s advantage with a stunning strike from the edge of the box.

A top performance by Borussia Dortmund’s new marksman, who now has 11 goals to his name since his January move.

Substitutes

Gio Reyna (7/10)

Making his Champions League debut, Gio Reyna brought great energy after coming on from the bench. He assisted Haaland’s winner and played a strong cameo for the team.
