Borussia Dortmund picked up three tough points against Werder Bremen but weren’t able to gain any ground on Bayern or Leipzig as they both won as well.

Borussia Dortmund picked up a clean sheet against Werder Bremen in their 2-0 win. It wasn’t Dortmund’s best game as they were clearly worn down from their Champions League clash but the important part was picking up the three points. Dan-Axel Zagadou and Erling Haaland were the goal scorers that lifted Dortmund over Bremen.

Bayern Munich beat Paderborn in the Friday game thanks to a last minute goal by none other than Robert Lewandowski. It was his second goal of the game and had he not been able to deliver again Dortmund would have been able to make up some ground. Serge Gnabry was the other goal scorer for Bayern. Dennis Srbeny and Sven Michel were the goal scorers for Paderborn in the almost upset.

Borussia Monchengladbach drew against TSG Hoffenheim in another game with late drama. Gladbach went up 1-0 through Matthia Ginter early on but were unable to hold on as Lucas Ribeiro scored a 90th minute equalizer. Gladbach missed a penalty and also had a goal called back through VAR to add to their frustration.

Fortuna Dusseldorf came out on top of Freiburg in a 2-0 victory. Andre Hoffmann and Erik Thommy were the goal scorers for Dusseldorf but it was Kevin Stoger who took home man of the match honours with 2 assists. FC Koln thrashed Hertha Berlin 5-0 in a huge away win thanks to a star performance from Jhon Cordoba who had 2 goals and an assist. Florian Kainz also notched a brace in the one sided game.

RB Leipzig decimated Schalke 04 in a 5-0 beatdown that started with a bang. Marcel Sabitzer started thigs off in the first minute on a shot from about 25 yards out that Alexander Nubel somehow failed to stop. It was shot directly at him and somehow he dove out of the way to concede it. It didn’t get any better from there on out for Schalke as Leipzig put four goals past them in a 30 minute span in the second half. Bayer Leverkusen continued their win streak, extending it to 5 games in a 2-0 win over Augsburg. Mousa Diaby and Nadiem Amiri were the goal scorers for Leverkusen as they clearly separated themselves from Schalke in 5th place.
