Borussia Dortmund return to the Westfalenstadion this weekend as they host SC Freiburg on matchday 24 of the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund go into the weekend on the back of three straight wins, conceding just one goal in the process. Erling Haaland has continued his scintillating form, while the defence finally seems to be disciplined and stable.

On Saturday they come up against an SC Freiburg side that has lost three of its last five games. Those defeats have seen Christian Streich’s slip to ninth place in the league table. But if these two teams’ reverse fixture is anything to go by, Borussia Dortmund will have to be at their best in order to get the three points.

Julian Brandt made his return from the bench in the closing stages of last weekend’s win over Werder Bremen. He could return to the starting XI on Saturday. But with the majority of the Dortmund players in good form, it will be interesting to see who he replaces. Thorgan Hazard is the likely candidate, having failed to make the desired attacking impact in the last few games.  Erling Haaland is also a doubt as he has a stomach bug, according to BILD.

Here we look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up against SC Freiburg this weekend.
