Bundesliga Preview: Borussia Dortmund face Freiburg test

Team News

A number of Borussia Dortmund players including Erling Haaland, Emre Can, Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard did not participate in the public training session on Tuesday. Commenting on the team news during his press conference on Thursday, Lucien Favre said, “One or two players have slight problems. We’ll see.”

According to BILD, Haaland is dealing with a stomach bug, and could start on the bench.

Marco Reus and Thomas Delaney remain out, with the former targeting a return against Paris St. Germain next month.

SC Freiburg have a few injury issues of their own with Luca Waldschmidt expected to miss the game with an adductor injury. Lukas Kübler and Amir Abrashi also remain sidelined.
