Achraf Hakimi (6.5/10)

Hakimi put in another hard-working shift for the team, making several forward runs down the right wing. He was a willing runner at all times, even if his delivery wasn’t always accurate. He also helped out defensively and nearly sealed the win late on when he hit the woodwork.

Axel Witsel (6/10)

Witsel had a decent game without influencing the team’s forward play too much. He did a solid job defensively, but started to tire as the game went on.

Emre Can (6.5/10)

Can looked resolute from the get go, and made some important defensive contributions for the side once again. He matched Freiburg’s physicality and wasn’t afraid to get stuck in. Like Witsel, he started to tire towards the end, which affected his passing a bit in the second half.

Raphael Guerreiro (6.5/10)

Guerreiro was one of Borussia Dortmund’s few creative outlets. He had some really good ideas, even if the execution was lacking at times. Defensively, he was largely untroubled.
