Borussia Dortmund host Freiburg on Saturday as they look to build off their tough Bundesliga win over Bremen last week.

Borussia Dortmund host Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday looking to get a better result than the first time these two teams met this year. Dortmund lead twice in their first meeting, first going up 1-0 then again 2-1 later on. It was a Manuel Akanji own goal that tied the game in the 90th minute, with Gian-Luca Goldschmidt also notching the other Freiburg goal. Good news for Dortmund, Waldschmidt will miss the game through injury on Saturday.

Dortmund will be without star man Marco Reus still in this one along with Thomas Delaney for sure. A few others didn’t train but Favre was unwilling to confirm or deny them being fit to play. Julian Brandt looks to be set to make his return, whether it is in a starting role or off the bench. It is a massive boost for Dortmund

Dortmund got all three points against Bremen but it wasn’t their best performance, this game against Freiburg is one they can’t slip up in. Another crucial three points are on the line in Dortmund before their schedule gets a lot tougher and a lot more congested. Their next three games will be against, Gladbach, PSG and Schalke, all in a 7 day stretch.

The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2 for viewers in the United States and viewers in Germany can tune in on Sky Sports Bundesliga 1. The game can also be streamed on Sportsnet now.
