Defense: Lukasz Piszczek, Mats Hummels, Dan-Axel Zagadou

With this being the first of the three games and everyone being fresh at the moment it isn’t likely that Favre rotates much in this one. Favre clearly has the most stable back three that he has had in some time in Piszczek, Hummels and Zagadou. With these three players starting the game in the Dortmund defense they have only conceded 1 goal in their past 4 games. With the defensive frailty Dortmund have shown in the past year and a half, that is a very welcome sight.

The only potential change could be resting Piszczek for the PSG game and bringing in Akanji. Akanji played well when he replaces Mats Hummels last weekend and could have earned himself another start with the idea of resting Piszczek for the higher profile Champions League game.
