Borussia Dortmund pick up three crucial points in the title race from their 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

With this win Borussia Dortmund have leapfrogged Leipzig into second place. Now only trailing Bayern by a single point, although Bayern has a game in hand as they take on Augsburg on Sunday. This was a must win against a tough opposition away from home and without their Captain. Had Dortmund lost to Gladbach they would sit 4th behind Gladbach also having played one less game. Instead they move up to second and take one step closer to the Bundesliga leaders.

Here are the player ratings from today’s game.

Roman Burki (6.5/10)

Roman Burki didn’t have a ton to do as far as saves but he did have one great save on an Alessane Plea deflection in tight that was his highlight of the game. He also made a sharp save from Laimer early on but had no chance on the goal against as Stindl was wide open in front of goal off the corner.
