Borussia Dortmund: Win over Borussia Mönchengladbach could be a season defining one

Borussia Dortmund continued their impressive winning streak with a 2-1 win at Borussia Park against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Goals from Thorgan Hazard and Achraf Hakimi were enough to see Borussia Dortmund beat Gladbach for the third time this season. With the timing of this game, as well as the importance of the opponent, the win could potentially be a season refining win for the side.

The result lifted the Black and Yellows into second place ahead of a tough run of fixtures which sees them play PSG, Schalke, Wolfsburg and then Bayern at home.

Dortmund went into the game on the back of a poor away record, but showed great steel to beat their title rivals and put the pressure on the Bavarians.
