Weston McKennie vs Emre Can

Weston McKennie and Emre Can will meet for the first time in the middle of the pitch on Saturday. Whether this battle ends up being between Can or Witsel, one or both of them is going to be going at Weston McKennie in central midfield for 90 minutes. Games against Schalke are always physical, and this one is likely to be no different. Weston McKennie is unquestionably the engine in the Schalke midfield so he and Can will be seeing a lot of each other.

This battle in the middle of the pitch is going to go a long way in deciding who is going to end up on top. With the likes of Emre Can, Axel Witsel and Julian Brandt at Favre’s disposal it should be a battle Dortmund are confident in winning, but McKennie and Schalke won’t make it easy on them.
